SZIGET, cel mai tare festival din Europa în 2011

Festivalul Sziget sau „Insula” din Budapesta a fost desemnat „Best Major European Festival”, fiind votat atît de public, cît şi de juriu. Potrivit urban.ro, în competiţie au fost înscrise peste 200 de festivaluri şi au votat peste 35.000 de oameni.
Trupa Coldplay a cîştigat „best headliner” şi „festival anthem of the year” cu piesa „Viva la Vida.

Best Headliner – Coldplay

Virtual Festivals Europe presents Promoter Of The Year – FKP Scorpio (Germany)
YOUROPE Lifetime Achievement Award – Michael Eavis, Glastonbury (UK)
Potrivit unui comunicat oficial, festivalul Sziget a prins “top 5” şi în preferinţele artiştilor.
La ediţia din 2011 a festivalului au participat 385.000 de oameni din 61 de ţări, conform datelor oficiale.
